SENIOR MARINE INSTRUCTOR: CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER - 5 CRUZ (Ret.)

I am a retired Marine Officer with 30 years and seven months of active duty service in the U.S. Marine Corps. I can think of no more remarkable achievement than to continue serving as a teacher, role model, mentor, and inspirational leader to future generations of "WOLFPACK" youth. In retrospect, I owe my career to the late LtCol Moore and GySgt Rodriguez, who were my MCJROTC instructors in Texas. They instilled confidence and the life skills lacking in youth from a single-parent family upbringing.

Marine Instructor: Staff Sergeant Walker (Ret.)

I am a retired Marine Staff Sergeant with 10 years and 11 months of active duty service in the U. S. Marine Corps. While my career was cut short due to an illness, I am able to continue faithful service by serving as the Marine Instructor at West Valley HS for the last 4 years. The Marines who helped shape the leader I am today imparted many lessons on me that I, in turn, impart on the students of West Valley HS MCJROTC.
