Why Choose West Valley High Marine Corps JROTC Program

Online Class

Plan Your Future

No matter your student's grade level or LE level, your student will be prepared for what your student wants to do after graduation! Whether it be college, the workforce, or the military, our program helps the process along by teaching good morals and values, work ethic, and by allowing your teen to prepare and advance beyond their peers.

Leadership
Opportunities

In our program, there are many Leadership classes and courses that allow Cadets the opportunity to lead their peers and learn from the experience! We encourage our Cadets to strive beyond what they believe they can achieve and in doing so, our Cadets have shown noticeable improvement in both attitude and leadership. In addition to the direct benefit of leader experience on these outcomes, we argue that early experiences create the foundation for future leadership development to build on.

Community Service

Our JROTC Program, as a whole, needs to get at least 2275 hours of community service every school school year. With this, our Cadets and Instructors set up events to help out the people of Fairbanks, North Pole, and the Interior. This includes our Color Guard presenting the colors at several events, and volunteering our time and effort to set up, look over, and clean up events!
